Thanks. Guinea fowl chicks sound interesting - are they difficult to raise? Quail seem to be the only game birds that thrive in our little corner of the world. They're not native, so someone must have released them in times past. I live up a hill and there are only a few quail near my house but when we drive down into the valley on our way to Garston village we see heaps of them sunning themselves on the road or rooting around in the bushes and grass. The babies are tiny - like little bumblebees and they can fly almost as soon as they hatch.
